Sigh. The last line in the article says it all.

Growing up we were not allowed to defile a car in that manner, bumper stickers ruin the finish.

I wont put political stickers on my car though, too many unstable people may decide to remove it with a key or a rock

I love the tea baggers. Splitting the Republican party and scaring away independents. It'll be an easy re election campaign with these clowns around.

I don't know...I get thumbs up from folks all the time. No one has tried to do anything to my car. I'm not a tea party guy, just a conservative independent who is very worried about where our country is headed. The Dems and Repubs are both to blame for years of overspending in a stupid attempt to keep buying votes.

I never understood bumper sticker politics. Am I really supposed to take political advice from some guy driving a rusty pickup or an old mini-van covered in stickers? I wouldn't even want to speak to most of these people, I certainly don't care about their weird political views. I read these stickers as "Crazy on Board" and stay away.

I have three bumper stickers on my old ranch pickup, but I'm too lazy to take pics of them.

1. Run Sarah, PLEASE
(I might change that to Donald)

2. Grow Your Own Dope: Plant a Republican

3. Tea Parties Are For Little Girls With Imaginary Friends

My son isn't allowed to put any stickers on the Mercedes, and my wife hates them on her Honda. I do it just to piss off the dominant paradigm around here. Same reason I drive the speed limit.

I'm considering one that says "Concealed Carrying Democrat"

With all the problems this country has, where would I move to if I wanted to... Australia? the UK? I'd rather put up with Obama, Palin and Trump before I put up with the Royals.

There was a study that found that the more stickers there were on a car, the more likely that person was to engage in "road rage." Apparently the personalization of the vehicle signaled a much more intense response whenever there was a threat to that "personal space.'

I always though bumper stickers messed up the look of a car. I don't even like the little tag Dealers slap on the trunk lid, although I can say I have never seen a Mercedes dealer do that.

I do like bumper stickers if they are overdone to the point of being silly, but you have to live in a weird area, like Austin, to pull it off. It is even better if they are stuck on rusty spots, like a bandage, and it is a sure thing they were handed out free somewhere.

It also helps if the car or truck is such a wreck that anything would make it look better.

Hey, it's cheaper than a new paint job!

A number of Americans are moving to Baja California since they can get a nice home on the coast for about 20% of what it would cost in the US.

Mexico has its' problems, but these communities normally set up a security force and fire department so it is as much like America as it can be without the high cost.

A lot of those living in such areas were show-biz people who were techs and such. They sold their homes in LA and moved south, sort of re-creating 1960's California.

Might not be a bad deal for a retiree. I am sure there are lots of pretty sunsets.
