I think some need to lighten up a little.

As I explained at the time, go ask a high school student about going to the zoo to visit their relos ~ Darwinism. Its a common joke, nothing to do with race. Others made the race connection.

Too many are haunted by their countries past.

Best they get over it !!

If I had to choose between politicians and snakes (IMO not much of an effin choice), I'll take the snakes.

Mainly because you won't go to jail for applying the business end of a shotgun to a snake. Politicians are infinitely harder to get rid of.

speaking of countries - though i think you meant country's, or countries'? - how are the aboriginals doing these days? finally realizing that it was a good thing that the brits came over and showed them the light?

A bit like the "brits" discovering America I guess.
Different country ~ different spelling!!!

I didnt see you comment about "aboput"

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!!"

I find it best to let infraction bait pass to the keeper.

What I am seeing reminds me of some one who has had a long Friday night drinking session. Its lunch time Saturday here.

hey, mr. GMT (?) its only 8 pm here in los angeles.

for the record, as a white person in america, i'm very careful to respect african americans, since they were screwed over here for several hundred years. you. living in a country with a similar history of race based oppression, seem to have no such qualms. so be it.

I don't believe the GOP candidates are of such poor quality as you seem to think. I am not whining about their quality at all.

I believe you are the one projecting, here.

Warning: Did not read thread before posting.

I will remedy this later, but I just wanted to get my $.02 in before I head to karaoke.

I like negative campaigns. You learn a lot from them, and not just about the candidate being attacked. I remember when I was just a little too young to vote, there was a race in Georgia contested by John Linder and some liberal whose name I've forgotten. The lib ran a negative add in which it was stated, "John Linder thinks anyone should be able to own a gun." While it didn't matter in my case (see bit about me being of pre-voting age), that instantly put me on Linder's side, and probably did for many voters, since he won.

Interesting that you are an expert on Australian history as well !!

I am sure the same can be said about certain groups in just about every country of the world.

Here on the east coast of Australia its just after 2pm Saturday, Los Angeles is a day behind us. Some say a decade & a day !! :P

Its interesting that your "respect" doesnt extend to at least using capitals when naming your city or your country. Many find that a sign of disrespect & lack of pride towards ones country & fellow country men.

John Linder thinks felons should be able to own a gun and you voted for him?

didn't know silly grammar rules were so important, in the greater scheme of things.

is there some enlightening information about australia's history which you wish to share with us? please, do tell.

and do the errors of others always justify one's own failures?

i think not.

I don't think his support for RKBA extends to felons. I was quoting what his opponent had to say about him. And no I didn't vote for him, because this happened before I was old enough to vote.

I got the impression you would have voted for him. Do you favor allowing felons to own guns? The 2nd amendment has no proscription for such.
