Need A/C work near Tampa

Something 'let loose' in my A/C system the other night in the driveway. Heard a loud hiss - no cool the next day. I'm looking for someone honest and experienced, who would be willing to tackle the job. I have neither the tools (guages, vac pump, etc.) nor the know-how. I do have 12 oz. cans of freon. I probably could track down the part, replace it - and the dryer, and find someone to vac and fill it; but I'm thinking of actually paying someone (shudder!!) to do the entire job. It's an 82 300D. I live 25 miles west of Tampa. I'm willing to travel. Thanks to any/all that respond. Thanks again, Matt

I'd be more than happy to help if you can get it up here. Kinda long way though. Let me know.

Wasn't really thinking of 'traveling' 700 miles round trip, I will consider it though. I am thinking of a trip to the north-east in Sept. Maybe I could drive to you, either rent a car or fly to my destination, and pick up my car on the way home. Thanks for the offer... ...you might not have heard the last of me on this subject. THANKS, Matt

whunter,
Exactly the direction I was heading. I'm only 2 hours from there. I stopped in and met stevebfl a few years back - only hung around a minute, thanked him for his helpful advice given on this site. I was there for business at the college.
Thanks for the tip.

That's right being in Fla Continental Imports is the place to take your car. I stopped in a few years ago and found them to be good people.
