The petrol powered versions are MONSTERS! Tons of HP and usually more torque. I never saw the point of making or having one, but wow they're fast!

Looks like it...I like the panamera better...comes in diesel too...and hybrid.

I don't get the Cayenne, or the BMW X-series for that matter. If you want a Porsche or BMW, get a real one. If you want an SUV, get a real one (CJ, XJ, YJ, etc.)

t walgamuth 07-29-2011 04:32 AM

I don't get then either, but with a diesel might snag me if I were in the market for such a device, which I am not.;)

Diesel4me 07-29-2011 07:21 AM

Yeah it's a Porsche just like those old tractors were Porsches.;) If Porsche made an electric toothbrush or computers I would say "Yep, it's a Porsche."

I had a real Porsche 20 years ago, 2.7 L. air cooled 6 cylinder with a whale tail.

Not with a top speed of 220 km/h and a 0-60 time of 7.2 seconds, it isn't. Geez...my 210 wagon should come fairly close to that 0-60, and could top out at a higher speed. How embarassing would that be for a Porsche owner?

It's about as much a "real" Porsche as a Jaguar with a 350 c.i. Chebby motor is a "real" Jaguar, oh wait....:D

Is it tricky to heel-and-toe with blocks on the pedals?

iwrock 07-29-2011 11:32 AM

Yes.

Drive one. The Cayenne Turbo is a beast in the hills.

KarTek 07-29-2011 12:37 PM

I'm thinking they should leave the diesels to VW...

Hatterasguy 07-29-2011 12:45 PM

They are very nice cars, you have to drive one.
