Perry, what a piece of work.

If this country elects ANOTHER former Texas governor to the presidency, I'm moving away because the US population would have proven themselves just too stupid for me to be able to live with.

I agree in so much that W was a train wreck and Perry would be even worse.

But do tell us - what state has politicians any less ignorant OR corrupt?

W wasn't a 1/2 bad governor. He made the mistake of allowing Chaney to orchestrate business when he was in the White House. No excuses - W fouled up big time.

Perry recently destroyed Texas public school funding - tried to toll existing major roads(some U. S roads) built in the post-war boom and slashed funding for rural fire depts. in the midst of the wild fire spree that occurred this past summer.

It's all about extremism.

Only extremists get elected. Who is in the White House at the present time - an extremist. Another will follow(same one maybe) or one from the opposing party.

Perry is simply a nut case lunatic right wing extremist - what the "voting" conservative element wants.

He could just have easily been from Louisana, Alabama, etc.

He just happens to be from Texas.

Oddly - a semi-stable moderate republican in the race is from the same state.

Got a question for ya.....where ya movin' to ????

Perry has not been a very good governor in spite of being generally conservative. That said, if we were to get stuck with him (don't worry, it AIN'T gonna' happen) he would be at LEAST an order of magnitude better than what we're stuck with now.

That's not saying much since Donald Duck would be an order of magnitude better as well.

Mitt Romney won't be president either. You heard it here first.

Only a far right person could call Obama an extremist.

No Mitt Romney won't be President either unless he were to somehow win the office in 2016. BO will serve two terms.

And by the same token, only someone on the left would think that he is center.

You need to move now, the population ALREADY elected a moron in 2008 in a failed social experiment.

Not sure where to begin, most of your comments show ignorance of a person you obviously know nothing about.

Moderates lose. So do extremists. Obama is an extremist, but his race took precedence in 2008. Won't happen in 2012 now that he is a record of total failure.

You aren't telling me anything I don't already know, I now live in rural Texas and use to live in Austin. I've seen it from the front rows.

I know nothing about other states' office of the Governor however, in Texas, it's largely a figurehead position. For Perry to claim that he's done all this and all that for the state proves that he is a total liar. Plus, saying that W wasn't a 1/2 bad governor speaks volumes on knowledge of Texas government.

Where would I move? Probably south central France...and not because of the politics, but for the scenery, food and wine.

I'm done with this thread.
