AFAIK, created accidentally by a Swiss scientist (Hoffman) before the CIA was even a glint in Wild Bill Donovan's eye.

So the C.I.A were just distributers.
I am reading some excerts from a guy named Steve Abrams, an American, who left the University of Chicago in 1960 to matriculate at Oxford, and is a recognized authority on LSD.

According to Abrams, he was studying ESP at Oxford when he was contacted by a man named Robert Lashbrook, who was with a Washington D.C. organisation called the human Ecology Fund.
At first, Lashbrook professed interest in his ESP experiments, but subsequently, at a meeting that included Lashbrooks boss, Dr. sidney Gottlieb, it was revealed that the HEF was actually a branch of the CIA and that its chief mission was to test a new drug, LSD.
The CIA was buying the drug in large amounts from a Swiss-based pharmaceutical firm, Sandoz Laboratories.
In fact, the CIA, Abrams discovered, was to buy Sandoz's entire production of LSD-a mamooth ten kilos, which over time, would have been enough to have turned on the ENTIRE Western world.

Hey, I think this thread should be attached the Wall Street protestors threads. Those protestors are the experts on drugs.

I worked for the GOP in DC back in the late 90's. Druggy central.

Actually I do. Drugs have completely permeated just about all walks of life in this country. It's a very sad thing to see.

Drugs are often crucial elements in religious experience. You might find them helpful as a supplement to the Bible.

Yes, there are some isolated groups that worship snakes too. Do you think that all churches do this?

I took a fair amount of LSD in the 1960's. I'm still waiting for the free flashbacks.

Other than your fear and need to disparage them with cheapshots, what makes them experts, when as you say, "drugs have permeated just about all walks of life"? Either they're the experts, or just about everybody is. Which is it?
