Iran Says Finder's Keepers.

Iran Rejects US Request for Return of Drone

President Barack Obama said the U.S. had asked for the drone back and would "see how the Iranians respond." But Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that given Iran's past behavior, "we do not expect them to comply."

There wasn't much to return of the U-2 piolted by Powers.

As a side note, there are folks that worked on the ejection system for the U-2 that wonder how he survived the small explosive charge that was supposed to dentonate at the base of the pilot's skull during ejection.

I can only imagine they'll study the hell out of it and then shop it to China.

How many state secrets are the Iranians going to get from that drone? Will they be able to reverse engineer it and get some good stuff? That would suck.

AFAIK, he didn't eject as much as the cockpit disintegrated around him.

PS - shame on those "engineers."

Iranians decoded the repeating cryptic message but they still didn't understand:

Iran asked Russians... "What does "Drink More Ovaltine" mean?"

Most photos of unarmed US drones depict the white color. The armed units do have the grey finish.

UAV already in use within the US. Border Patron, US Customs and local law enforcement already use them.

Iran is not part of the international banking system. If they pay off the bankers, all of their problems go away. If they were willing to go into debt to the right people they could buy all of the drones they want. Funny thing, most of the other bad countries you hear about are on the same side of the banking fence. Go figure. Silly Iran, just borrow a few trillion already.

Maybe we intentionally sent a canard into Iran, replete with virus and an imbedded tracking app. Just in case the drone is sold to others.

Too bad it doesn't have a self destruct button.

I think this drone issue will escalate into something more.

Press has said that they might not be able to reverse engineer the stealth paint.

I think the drone might have one, if it wasn't intended to be captured.
