This principle could be paraphrased as follows: "It is not an acceptable excuse to say 'I was just following my superior's orders' ". (emphasis added, Larry).

I don't know what made you write this post, but it has ZERO relevance to the original post.

You're outdoing yourself with all your naive posts in this thread. Your silly example actually points out exactly why it is so glaringly obvious that the order came from the very top.

Troops keeping their shirt tail tucked in could be seen as a standing order. Sgt. Carter enforces such a standing order and the only thing that would change such a standard procedure would be orders that worked their way through the chain of command. Since the Marines disarmament was unprecedented, the only way such a standard procedure would be changed would be for it to come through the chain of command from the top.

Face it, your panzy ass liberal buddies that are now running the military are fvc#!ng it up! Handing out white flags will be next. I'm sure you will enjoy that.

Hey *****, should we all vote now on what we consider to be your best answer to my original post, or are you still working on yet another version?

Sounds as if YOU are throwing the white flag now. You are obviously out of your element in this thread.

Even someone of your MASSIVE self proclaimed intelligence can't know about EVERYTHING.

Larry, do you have any evidence that the order to disarm came from the President?

If not you are just making up things to fit what you want to believe.

Actually, in essence, yes. The CINC directs the military to establish rules to govern the military and provide good order. Much like Congress directed all these federal regulatory agencies to regulate areas of our country.

I will say one thing about serving here: be you a cook or clerk or someone who pushes a bayonet into the belly of the enemy, the contribution of all service members are equal in that everyone worked for the common goal of national defense. And, "just a (fill in the blank)" doesn't wash with most vets. At least they served. Those of you who never did, will most likely never understand how all that works, and for that, I am sorry. You missed a lot.

Actually I'm not really trying to belittle Larry for his self-proclaimed service, as I hear that his chicken a la king was to die for. I just love watching him look down his nose at folks who didn't perform military service, with the potential hypocritical cherry on top being that he never was a member of the armed forces, or was, and did not secure an honorable discharge.

Tom, Tom, Tom, if it's good, the right-wing did it. If it's bad, Obama did it.

Ya think? And the hypocrisy here is incredible, out of one side of Larry, Botnst and TxJake's mouths they are proclaiming the almighty solidier, while out of the other they call a highly decorated Marine Corp general a liar who is lying for Obama. Incredible. This is a stupid thread, which is why the whole story has gone no where in the news. It's all a bunch of made up crap coming from people who just want to believe a fairy tale based on hate.

Interestingly enough the ONLY military meal that made me lose my cookies was an MRE (Meal, Ready To Eat), Chicken Ala King. . Comes in a bag though, don't think Larry made it...
