Many truckers used to do meth before more frequent drug testing came around. I'm sure a lot of them still do it.

every year, some 4000 people are killed in semi tractor truck related accidents. I wonder how many involve meth heads?

I spend as little time as possible in and around semis when on the interstate, especially in a passing situation - just due to the physics involved with a vehicle that large and heavy should an extremis situation develop.

If I'm coming up on one or more semis, I'll first look back and make sure there isn't a group of "speed racer" DB's coming up on us - I don't want some DB, much less 5 or 6 of them, inches from my bumper when I'm trying to make my way around one of these beasts. I'll purposely hang back and let those idiots go on their merry way before I pull out and go around myself.

Same if I see a "blue hair" pull out and start literally inching their way past one or more semis, or one semi pulls out to pass one or more others - I know the DB's are going to pile up behind them in a daisy chain, bumper to bumper, with no room for manuvering. I'll hang back until everything sorts itself out and I've got a clear shot at going around.

I'll also hesitate, even if I've got a clear shot, if we're coming up in immediate proximity to an exit, and I can't see whether or not there's some DB coming down the entrance ramp at 45 mph that's going to try to force their way out immediately in front of said semi.

X2.

Nothing more dangerous than being in a pack of DB's itching to do 80.

That's exactly what I do. I may even downshift to hurry it along.

This morning I was driving along in my little 190E, at crawling speed (less than 20mph). Had to switch lanes, but the DB behind me in his X5 did not like that and did not want to let me through, AFTER I was already signaling for good 5 seconds and half of the car already in front of his.

So he laid on the horn, arms up in the air, the usual banter. I looked up in the mirror, and slowed down, waaaay down. There was a space of a good 10 car length in front of me and the car ahead. He was literally inches away, I was tempted to brake check but I decided to just slow down instead. So he motioned to me that he was going to "shoot" me with his "finger gun" - so I shot back with my "finger gun"

By this time, another van wanted to squeeze in between myself and the DB behind. As predicted, the DB in the X5 did not like it again, so he eventually switched lanes, and proceeded to cut me off. Saw this coming and I was ready on the brakes. So I just applauded him from behind, laughing away.

Not trying to give you grief, I've done stuff just like that many times but I'm trying to stop. I want to go all 'Kung fu Caine' on them. Calm, peaceful, unblinking, no antagonism but if they try to come at my person, watch out, taste the pavement.

Of course, most of the aggression fizzles out when people are out of their armored vehicles.

Definitely. I didn't word that well. I meant in life as a whole, you're much less likely to get someone behaving aggressively while on foot compared to while behind the wheel.

I've had two of them get out of their vehicles and RUN toward my vehicle. The first actually got his hands on the window sill before I took off with the vehicle.

The second saw the canister of pepper spray and decided that he best return to his vehicle.

The pepper spray is a terrific deterrent without the inherent risk of a gun.

I would head into the bar, attempt to figure out who said db is, then start buying him drinks....
At closing time when he gets in the car, call the mounties.

He, the DB, and the PO know each other personally.
