$12-$15k for 2002+ Mercedes..recommendations?
Hey everyone,
My cousin send me a message saying she's looking for a newer Mercedes, in the 2002+ era. She looking to spend 12-15k. Anyone have any suggestions? Things to avoid? This is abit out of my familiarity. -kris

Diesel or gasoline?
The reason I ask is that there is a '99 (little older than what you are looking for I know) E300 for sale at Southern Motors Honda in Savannah, Ga. ~105k miles. They are asking $12.9k for it.

I would imagine gasoline powered. I dont really know what she wants out of it. She's actually buying it for her mom (my aunt). She just said up to $15k, 2002+..

Don't buy an early W211, if you want a W211 stay with 2005 or newer.
For that money either buy a 2001-02 E class, or the best C class she can find.

2002 E55 AMG, E430 or E320(W210)
2005-2007 C230 V6, C280, C350, C240 (W203) 2002-2003 CLK 320, 430, 55AMG (C208) 2005+ CLK 320, 350, 500, (C209) Those would be the best options and plus you can find them in the $15,000 mark with low miles in comparison to say something like an SL500 that is a 03 with under 50k will still be going for $20,000+
