Dreams

i had a dream just now right before waking. I was in a building which was just being completed. There was a person who was asking me about the fellow who cleaned it. His name seems to have been Wayne. I knew him pretty well it seems. I said "Yes, he does a good job. His motto for his business is '11 Fusty years in the cleaning business'".

I find it interesting that there were these specific details, including his motto, in the dream about someone who does not exist (that I know of) with a motto I never heard before (that I can remember).

It was bold of you to post your dream. I am sure someone will find some hidden message in it.
It is unusual to recall such detail. Sometimes I can recall that there was that kind of detail, but I am unable to remember it--but I know it was there.

My problem,(and occasional joy)is that I recall my dreams with crystal clarity, down to the most minute details of the surroundings, people, conversations and even feelings and interpersonal conflicts.
It's long been maintained that dreams are simply a healthy ego's way of resolving conflict and inadequacy. Who knows for certain? They do make damn good plot lines for my short stories though.

I had a strange dream two nights ago. Fell asleep in front of the TV and slept all night there. The tv movie may have contributed to the dream.

In the dream, I was helping Meg Ryan get away from Arnold Schwarzenegger. No romance, no sci-fi, just leaving one area in a building and getting to another, to keep eluding him.

Meg Ryan seemed distracted and didn't want to follow instuctions.
Is that strange or what?

I never get the dreams where the 19 year old twins knock on my door because their car has broken down. Usually it's just starnge stuff, often in French or German.

my problem is I frequently openly talk in my sleep if the dream is vivid enough. The other day in the morning the GF told me laughing that I conversationally stated with perfect clarity about 4 in the morning, "My name is Jack, get the velociraptors". I have no memory of the dream, and my name isnt Jack, why dinosaurs were important to the dream, I have no idea. :D

Maybe Arnold was pissed that her plastic surgery ruined her lips, and made her unrecognizable. Nice of you to help her though. :D

It could very well be you heard it in passing or your sub conscious is showing you something from the past. I never recall my dreams

I generally don't remember my dreams, and from the creepy feeling they leave behind it's just as well.

Go see a Jungian analyst!

Are you Wayne?
What could a near completed, empty building represent? Relationships in limbo? A nearly fulfilled life?
What about the cleaning? Something to get off your chest?

Off course there is an online dream interpertation ap. For what its worth:

To see a building in your dream represents the self and the body. How high you are in the building indicates a rising level of understanding, awareness or success. If you are in the lower levels of the building, then it refers to more primal attitudes and/or sexuality.

To see a building in ruins or damaged indicates that your approach toward a situation or relationship is all wrong. You need to change. Your own self-image may have suffered and taken some blow. To dream that you are cleaning or that someone is cleaning you are removing some negativity in your life and overcoming major obstacles. You are moving ahead toward a new stage in your life. In particular, if you are cleaning your house, then it means that you need to clear out your thoughts and get rid of your old ways and habits. You are seeking self-improvement.Alternatively, the dream may be a metaphor that you need to "come clean" or tell the whole truth about some situation or matter

For that matter, how does he know it was her? Or was it the younger "pre-surgery" Meg?

Anyone here ever dream that they are naked in public?

Jorn 06-14-2012 05:35 PM

I didn't dream for a year and half since my mom past away, since a couple of months they seem to be coming back or at least I can remember them again after I wake up. The first dream I remembered after her death was my mom and I on a vacation in Greece...

I conciously do not remember my dreams very often anymore. Although I am sure they occur. The ones I do remember are well worth not having.

For those I am more than happy to wake up. Really stupid situations are present in those dreams. I doubt dreams have to mean anything really perhaps just a subconcious exercise.

Reminds me of the guy that dreamt he was eating giant marshmellows. When he woke up all the pillows where gone.:D

My wife talks occassionaly in her sleep. I would consider it an invasion of privacy to participate in any way when she does. So I have no ideal if she would verbally respond If I tried.

Do you live near Fort Wayne?===Wayne? Never heard the word Fusty before. Is it a word you use? Fort Wayne+dusty=Wayne+Fusty????
