so who saw "ted"? opinions?

just saw this last night. I kinda enjoyed it once I decided I was in the mood for bathroom humor, until after the movie where I was going to say something complementary, and my GF beat me to the punch and said "that was without a doubt the worst movie Ive ever seen"

Its definitely about as vulgar as it can get, but the premise was amusing, lots of cringeworth moments though.

anyone else seen it? what did you think?

Using a child's toy as a vehicle for raunchy humor just seems wrong. I haven't seen it, but is that the gist of it?

I saw it with some friends and while it has some good parts, it made me realize I don't enjoy dirty movies as much as I thought. I give it an eh..

its basically a celebrity has been commentary, but yes. The living teddybear was a international sensation when he popped to life, but as the narration puts it "sooner or later, everybody just doesn't give a ****"

Then we fly to 25 years later, and Ted is a profane, boozing, drugging, whoring individual, who also happens to still be this teddy bear.

I was impressed with how quickly you come to accept him as an individual though, and not as a novelty. It becomes second nature that Mark Wahlberg would be kicking back to discuss girls and life over some booze and pot with his longtime fuzzy friend.

There are a lot of genuinely hilarious moments, but if you don't like or cant ignore bathroom humor, don't see it. There are also a lot of genuine cringe moments. I would have enjoyed it more watching it alone at home though.

Fight sequence though, I loved that

It sounds like its right up my alley.

I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD or on-demand, though.

I'll watch something like that at home. The wife will, of course, be in another room, as she finds 10 year old bathroom humor distasteful.

Personally, I think she has no idea what she's talking about. LOL

The BEST humor is the humor that you don't have to think about.

That's right, everything is equal opportunity when it comes to humor.
