Free energy? Infinite loop power source?

I thought it was impossible until I saw this. Granted, he had to start it with regular electricity but after he unplugged it, I think it would go forever. What is the catch? Where does the no free lunch part come in?

Physicists, please chime in. There has to be a catch.

rscurtis 12-17-2012 05:36 PM

Not going to happen. That motor is being powered by a source you can't see.

cmac2012 12-17-2012 05:42 PM

Who knows. Must be a catch. If he'd discovered something that actually worked, he'd be filthy rich by now.

First law of thermodynamics: Heat and work are forms of energy transfer. Energy is invariably conserved but the internal energy of a closed system changes as heat and work are transferred in or out of it. Equivalently, perpetual motion machines of the first kind are impossible.

Second law of thermodynamics: The entropy of any isolated system not in thermal equilibrium increases.

That guy will make a lot of money and then eventually end up in jail.

He's even better than he appears in the video. He's hooked the scam up with religion. Here's his website: http://www.witts.ws/

Here's another of his videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgEsSOphlp8

Notice how his response to the comments direct the writer to the 'gifts' page on his website.

Perpetual motion machines alone are impossible in the earths atmosphere. Mind them doing actual work. Or at least to the extent of mans current knowledge.

There would have to be unknows to discover yet even to give it a chance and even then it still most likely will not be possible.

hear the motor slow down a little when he switches on the drill press? It may work for a short time but its not infinite.

Perpetual motion?

You don't get something for nothing, that is unless you're one of the millions of people that mooch off the government.

There is no such thing as a free power source.. Good ole laws of thermodynamics.

X2.

There is never a free lunch.

Interesting how this individual went to great lengths to make a video that is patently false.

Zulfiqar 12-18-2012 09:50 AM

as Botnst said.. x2
