Ready for Nemo???

Generator is ready to go. Plenty of food and assorted beverages on hand. All arrivals/departures to and from the MIL'S residence cancelled. New Blizzaks on the 4Matic (for tomorrow). Chainsaw blade sharpened (for tomorrow). MIL'S boys are well rested (to shovel snow tomorrow). I think that about covers it. Beer time! Happy Friday!

I've got wine, beer, coffee (with multiple methods of making it) and Bailey's. Bring it on!

Swamp's place for brunch and hopefully we'll get snowed in for a day or so! Woo-hoo!

Got some wine, should be good for the 3" we get here. Good luck to NE, my entire family lives up there so I hope its manageable, nothing can be as bad as last year's ice storm as far as I'm concerned.

Salt Rage.

So, after two weeks of white roads with strips of salt in the centerlines and shoulders around town, I was pleased with the cleansing of yesterday's nor'easter in these parts. My black car looked spiffy last night in the driveway. All is well.
Now, we had no snow here last last night. None. Zip. Zero. Nada. So, I'm thinking great, I'll have a salt free car for a while. Nooooo, They must have laid salt all night here on county and town roads. Roads are mostly dry at 9:30 am, but look exactly like they did before the storm arrived late Thursday night. Same line of salt looking like a line of coke in the middle of the white streets. My car looks like $hit! And I've only driven it about 2 miles on dry streets this morning.

I don't know what the salting standards are for roads, but geezes, what a waste.
Is it true that deers like to graze by the side of roads b/c of the road salt?
They'll enjoy dining around here if so.

No big deal here. Didn't need the generator. Didn't need the chainsaw. My boys handled the dig-out, and the dogs had a blast. I feel bad for HatterasGuy. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/open-discussion/334463-out-scotch.html
