New project

A 1978 Porsche 924. Honest little car, only water Pumper one I'd own. Has miles a bit south of 50 k, and is in decent shape given the age. Basical the 924 was a VW project that Porsche bought back after designing it. Audi 100 engine, understressed and reliable. They were advertised as getting great mileage and saved Porsche during the oil embargo days. Neutral handling and roomy for two.
Runs well and just needs some TLC. NO great powerhouse but fun and way better mpg. than my Rover.

Those early 924s are capable of some very impressive fuel economy. They are very low narrow and sleek! I love them (but prolly would never own one).

I went to school with a guy who had one...we called it the poor man's Porsche. His brother jammed an exhaust whistle in the tailpipe and made it sound like a VW Beetle.

While I'm guilty for laughing at him for having such an anemic car, bear in mind that I had two Yugos.
