I used to write 6502 assembly. First I learned 8086 (IIRC) on an H8 (also programmed that sucker in hex), then the 6502. Then I moved to a Z-80 and I was smokin'! Then I met some people who really knew stuff and realized I was never going to be competing with people who could make jokes in Z-80 assembly that made them all laugh. It's like laughing at a needlessly convoluted trig identity, ... huh? "then he said cos(A+B) = sin(A)cos(B)+ sin(B)cos(A)!" Hahahaha!

I was so proud of myself when I did my first assembly program to multiply two numbers. It would have taken me less than 2 minutes in C to write but in assembly it took forever but when it ran I was ecstatic.
