More times than not, when children are involved, the one that's most in trouble will be the one ALOT OF FOLKS will go after to save.

Eight kids and seven are safe outside? Where the one missing??? (Now, ALL THOUGHTS ARE ABOUT THE ONE NOT THERE.)

Yep, dad may have lost it, forgot about the others already there and decided to "one-finger-salute" the cop on site.

Now, how many know what the cop was thinking about?

And, at least in this town (La Crosse), if a cop pulls out and fires a Tazer...that cop goes through the same amount of BS as if he had pulled out his service revolver and planted a few warning shots into a fleeing suspect.

He didn't Tazer the dude for fun...he did it because, at least someone, on site, still had there head on their shoulders and wasn't being an a55hat.

The only problem now?

The cop's gotta' be wondering if Dad has him in HIS crosshairs because he prevented him from "saving his son's life."

This story is going to be filler material for some up-coming slow-news days...

I just thought a real Firefighter with more experience to draw from than most of might be able to give an answer with more validity.

Maybe after some investigation of the Fire the Fire Investigator needs to sit down with Dad or even do a walk through of the Site with Dad and explain just how destructive Fire really is.
If He really had 7 other Kids they defiantly did not need to have one of their Siblings die and the Father to.

Hey...I just said "8" as an example...don't take my written word as fact on that...I was just pointing out that parents will do a "head count" and when one is identified as "not safe" - logic goes out the window.

Here's another example...

The one "missing" is 18yo. Mom/Dad have great expectations for the 18yo. Now, if the 15yo is standing outside and they all know that the last time anyone knew anything, the 18yo was in the house with them before the mayhem started.

NO PARENT WANTS TO BE ALIVE AND HAVING TO BURY THEIR OWN KID(S).

Simple fact. We've all seen it, to some extent...

I don't like it any more than the next parent. It's not right.

With that said...
