I just picked up a very nice and rust free 71 250c 4notch. The car is straight and complete. It had a windows out repaint in black everywhere. Paint is showing its age but is holding up fine. Runs and drives great. My last 5 cars have all been Porsches so I do miss that getup and go. I plan on lowering the car a few inches and installing 17" BBS RS rims. Maybe some engine performance upgrades such as webbers though the car runs so well now I have no real need other than performance. I do most of my own work and have found this site very useful over the past 8 days of being a Merc owner...

That's all for now.

Cheers,
Adam

Did you know that when your car was new it cost about the same as a 911?

Of course the Mercedes came with air, an automatic and an entirely different type of ride.

Porsche's have always had their place, but I dropped them for Mercedes many, many years ago.

Or a pair of Hemi Cudas. In that light it's amazing that Mercedes sold as many cars as they did.

In fact I do. I just sold my 71 911e. It sold for 40k.... I can't imagine my w114 Coupe being worth that unless the rims were made of gold... I agree a different ride. I really like the look of the b pillar less coupes... Plus this is a simple car to work on....

Cheers...

Nice car and welcome. Stop by the vintage forum and meet some other W114 owners.
