Got any travel plans? Be afraid, be very afraid!

Well, at least they know that the Al Queeras aren't planning anything unspecified after August 31. We can take great comfort from that.

OTOH, at least we don't have to worry about that silly color-threat-level stuff anymore.

US issues worldwide travel alert due to al Qaeda threat

WASHINGTON -- A worldwide alert has been issued for all U.S. citizens traveling abroad due to an unspecified al Qaeda threat, State Department officials warned Friday.

The terror group and their affiliated organizations "may focus efforts to conduct attacks in the period between now and the end of August," a statement said.

"U.S. citizens should take every precaution to be aware of their surroundings and to adopt appropriate safety measures to protect themselves when traveling," it added. " The Department of State alerts U.S. citizens to the continued potential for terrorist attacks, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, and possibly occurring in or emanating from the Arabian Peninsula."

The travel alert expires on August 31.

Its not like they are going after tourist hot spots! But then maybe the State Department officials will have it wrong again !

more propaganda to deflect the public. 1 year anniversary of Benghazi coming up, don't want too many questions to come up, esp since CNN just revealed there were beacoup CIA operatives, including paramilitary operatives running around that part of Lbya during the raid on consulate....

Good thing is that neither 9/11, 7/7, nor Madrid came with a warning to the public, whereas all of the warnings to the public have come to nothing so far. So maybe the State Dept and DHS will be wrong as usual.
