These would be great vehicles but you would have to pull all the construction equipment off them and reconvert to road vehicles.

They have the same 6 cylinder gas engines as the 220-280 series gas cars do.

It's the old 180 series gasser motor.

These show up on Government Surplus Auctions at Government Liquidation now and then.

Parts are high. If you think you are spending a lot on your Mercedes now just wait until something breaks on one of these things.

But they are useful if you are in the construction business. They are like a street legal backhoe.

If you can do without all the construction equipment then there are plenty to choose from and older 404's for not that much money (Although the upkeep can't be a bit steep depending on what you start out with....)

However newer Unimogs are a whole other story.....
