"Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker killed in Porsche

Not a Hoax. Confirmed by reps. Attended a charity event, left with a friend in the passenger seat of a Carrera GT... loses control, splits in half by a tree, died on the scene.

'Fast & Furious' star Paul Walker dies in car accident - CNN.com

They are right in the middle of shooting the latest F&F movie.

I wonder how many people have done the same thing after seeing his movies. Very similar to James Dean's death, comparable car 50 years later split in half. 2 passengers.

Yes, it was my first though after seeing the crash photo. So similar looking, hard to believe.

Dean was half Walker's age, and driving.

That car looks really bad. Porsche can be tricky. I always suggested people drive with the drivers window down an inch or so. My experience was unless I did I did not feel the speed and that can kill you. This was even true back in the day of the old 356s we got for three hundred dollars that were very well used.

Maybe they will stop making those horrible movies now?

The car was fast and the fire looked like it was furious....

I saw a really bad one before. Wee hours of the morn on a long straight divided 4 lane with gently rolling hills..... Notice flashing lights for a couple miles approaching and as of yet only one officer had responded. As we neared we saw a red mustang about twenty feet off the ground wrapped taco style around a large old tree. Still stuck in the tree the only clue it was even a mustang was the silver alloy wheels with the mustang emblem. This was before the F&F movies...

James Dean, Pelle Lindberg, Ryan Dunn, Paul Walker....all killed in a Porche...strange...I was showing my son history of Pelle Lindberg about 3 weeks ago on the internet...trying to think of what prompted me to remember Pelle Lindberg. I think, maybe someone on here posted about him?
R.I.P Paul Walker.

When I saw the first picture, James Dean was the first thing that came to mind...

I believe it was a '49 or a '50 Ford business coupe actually. And, James Dean had just received a speeding ticket within hours of his death.

His wrecked Porsche was soon thereafter spirited away and never has been seen again.
