Best iPad Air Protective Case

Santa left an iPad Air under our tree and I'm looking for a good case for it. We are an iPhone family and we have been happy with Otterboxes for the phones.

I want a case that is not cumbersome, protects well and has a prop. I'm undecided about integrated keyboards. Not sure if the additional bulk and expense is worth it for our needs.

Leather would be nice, but I'm open to anything that feels good and wears well.

Oh.. and Happy New Year.

I've had mine in a targus keyboard case since I got it and the IPad for Christmas two years ago. The Bluetooth keyboard works great and the case has been great. I highly recommend it.

Hope this helps.

Our iPad is in an Otterbox as well and it is bulky but with a 2 year old and a 4 year old in the house it needs all the protection it can get.

Otterbox with Anker keyboard, although they are heavy (Otterbox)-the protection is great. I've dropped my iPad several times without an issue. The keyboard is really only worthwhile if you use it for word processing.

Do get some protection. My wife dropped her ipad a few months ago about a foot - actually slid off her lap to the floor. The glass shattered. We had it replaced but there are some dead spots on the glass now. Bad luck. Should not be so fragile but it is.

I have a clamcase for my ipad gen 4, love it. I bought the plastic one because it's cheaperish... I cannot do without a keyboard, and this was the best feeling one I could find. I've also dropped my ipad off the back seat of my escape at school, skuffed the case, but the device works perfectly still.

(1) Sell iPad on EBay.
(2) Get Android or Windows 8 tablet that's not based on crippleware.
