Wow, that's stupid.

The most bone-headed driving maneuver I've witnessed is this: In our town, there is a main road that at one point has one straight lane in each direction and one left-turn lane in each direction. The left lane pointing east goes to the highway and the one pointing west goes into a grocery store.

I was sitting in the straight lane going west; opposing me were a car in the left-turn lane (Prius) and a car in the straight lane (Scion TC with skull decorations). The left-turn lanes get arrows, and when the arrows came, the Scion in the straight lane floored it and did a maniacal U-turn AROUND the Prius while the Prius was turning left, forcing the Prius to stop so as to avoid T-boning the Scion . If the Prius hadn't been alert, an accident would have certainly resulted.

Sometimes you wonder what on earth people like that are thinking.

Today I was trundling along in a work van in the slow lane on the highway about 60 mph in the city.

I come around the corner, and the slow and middle lane are blocked completely by stopped vehicles. Reason being is for some reason, a swan is wandering down the middle lane of the highway.

This is pretty much a blind curve, and the woman in front of me has a clear lane in the slow lane (swan is moving in the travel lane), but is taking a ****ing cell picture of the thing, meanwhile im waiting for a semi to come around the corner and paste both of us, so I lay on the horn.
Were it me, that swan would be run down before I stop on a highway like that, and if I slowed to preserve its life if I can, as soon as the lane was clear id be gunning it.

Meanwhile people are flying by in the fast lane at 70+. Just luck alone there was just enough room in traffic for people to move around or slow with no trucks at the moment, but it was about to be a disaster

People do that around here but not on the highway thankfully for stupid Canadian Geese. They waddle into the road and I guess your supposed to park in the middle of the street and admire how cute they are. I just lay on the horn and push them aside. Stupid birds need to learn how to avoid cars.

At 55 MPH a goose makes a football sized impression in the windshield. I love safety glass.
