Just a Rant
I just replaced my belt and tensioner. During the process, cleaning etc I saw a crack in a mounting tab for the hydraulic pump. Well it turned out that the PO's "mechanic" installed a belt that was to short and in the process destroyed the tensioner and literally broke the front mounting tab on the hydraulic pump at the upper tensioner bracket mounting point.. I mean seriously what a hack!

Oh man. It happens. Hack mechanics and service people of all kinds all about.

I had some health issues a few years ago and had to take one of my cars to a shop. It was highly recommended by several people.
I still had to redo their work when I got it back. If you want it done right do it yourself has always been true for me when it comes to auto repairs. I am interested in doing it right and not doing it over. Mechanics are interested in doing as fast as possible and moving on to the next job. |
