rolled over hearse

Dalbert Woodruff & Isenogle had a mishap on the way to the cemetery earlier this week...

Do you know the traffic law when it comes to funeral processions? Here's a reminder - Story

Apparently another funeral home came over and helped unload the casket, and got the "guest of honor" away from the scene. The family is completing services today, from what I understand.

That was a very nice Eagle coach, navy blue. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the structure handled the rollover...it's just a fiberglass shell over some steel tube.

Thanks for the explanation. I noticed that one of the external side panels was gone.

I thought it odd that at the end of the report the commentator said the police were not sure what charge, if any, they were gonna hit the perp with.

I think Eagle builds the rear side doors, and read loading door from fiberglass, that's why the door skin came off, the same way a late model Camaro or Firebird door skin will pop off in a collision.

The "other" hearse company, Accubuilt, used steel doors, as far as I am aware.

Driver and priest are hurt but alive. 2 out of 3 alive ain't bad. Not like the guest of honor will complain. Dead is dead.

There are legal issues with scattering...be aware that you may need a permit, depending on where you want to do that, and in some public waterways and lakes it is illegal.

Dead is dead, but you still want your dear departed to get to her final resting place in a dignified fashion.

Luckiest dead guy I ever saw was already dead in transit with American airlines I think. Everyone on board perished during that crash.

He was even spared the planes final massive firey impact as well. During cargo hold decompression his casket was ejected and landed in a field many miles before the plane crashed. Dc 10s in the early days that had outward opening cargo door issues.
