Google Glass - Dead?
BBC News - Google Glass sales halted but firm says kit is not dead
As I found when I spent a couple of months wearing Glass, it has a number of really useful aspects - in particular the camera. There is however one huge disadvantage - it makes its users look daft, and that meant that it was never going to appeal to a wide audience. I suppose the risk of being accused of invasion or privacy and getting drinks thrown at you at a bar may have been a factor. |

1500 bucks and you look like a cross between erkel and borg, AND its cababilities are less than the average smart phone?
Not a fad that will catch on

It wasn't supposed to be a stand-alone device as much as an add-on to a smartphone.

One thing working against it are state laws against having a television in the front seat of the car where the driver can see it. I don't know that Glass ever legally was considered a TV, but Texas lawmakers were looking at it as such.

What a bummer! I have been waiting for the message after a post that read, sent from my Google glass.
