Remember, minor surgery is when someone else is having it!

I wish to you an expeditious recovery.

Best wishes. Reminds me of when I was in pre-op for some neck surgery some years ago. Very old guy (80's) was on a gurney next to me scheduled for a heart valve replacement with a pig's valve. Surgeon came in and started going over all the minute details of the surgery with him. Guy says, "I don't care about any of that stuff, just tell me how soon I can be with a woman again."

My turn with the vascular surgeon very soon. Replacement of arteries with a stent between just below the renal arteries and upper leg arteries.

This by insertion of two plastic tubes up the leg arteries and joined into a Y connection part way down the other. Three to four days hospital stay he claims. There has been a bubble develop in the abdominal artery that could let go.

Far less intrusive than doing it the other way. Just hope recovery is fast. At my age this is the preffered way. A lot younger and they would open the abdomen and sew plastic in. I asked how it is secured just below the renal arteries. He said it had barbs.

Thanks guys. This was my third one and it scared the hell out of me. Finally quit smoking.

The bad news is that they may not have gotten to it in time. I have gangrene in my left little toe. The doc wanted to amputate it the day after the surgery, but I asked for a week of agressive treatment to see if it could be saved.

The decision on whether to keep it will be made next week.

Sorry to hear about this Kevin. A doc was giving me a cardiac cath about 5 years ago & tried to run the lead up my right side. He told me it was too blocked to get thru up to the heart. He looked over at me and asked " Do you have trouble getting an erection? I said well, I'm not 18 any more, but I can still stay in the race ok.

Take care & heal well.
Best wishes.

Mistress...hope to see you this summer in PA.
