Was an article from a PC mag or something like that and it said the EULA was 29 pages advising all kinds of info/data windows is collecting. Also said to go into 'privacy' and unclick just about everything.
Found this: Windows 10 privacy problems: Here’s how bad they are, and how to plug them. |

Windows 10 Make sure you got the right version for your machine (32/64bit) and that you save it to a location not just open/run from temporary space. |

Windows 10 makes diagnostic data collection compulsory | Computerworld
Windows 10 includes a telemetry and diagnostics service that cannot be fully disabled. In earlier editions of the OS -- including Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 -- Microsoft's data gathering was optional. Users had to agree to join the "Customer Experience Improvement Program," or CEIP, for telemetry to be collected and sent to the Redmond, Wash. company from those operating systems. And if users changed their mind, they could stop it. |
I find it hard to believe that anyone has got it installed...
...on Windows 7 I just get a window with a white screen and a swirly egg timer thing when I click on the upgrade to windows 10 button in the task bar... ...as usual a waste of my ****ing time. |
I forced mine to install, didn't want to sign up and then wait. It went very smoothly. I've got machines on 10 so far. The rest are on 8, with one on 7 still.
