Lexus part sources

I bought a 1990 Lexus LS400 a few months ago when my 240K mile 1996 Grand Marquis started showing signs of head gasket failure. The car had been sitting for a while and rode fine when we got it but the shocks quickly deteriorated. I'm planning on putting in Megan coilovers to adjust the ride height down a bit (it looks a bit silly with 3" wheel gaps) and Daizon bushings for the control arms and sway bars but I know other bits need to be replaced. The issue I've been running into is finding a good parts supplier. I tend to use suppliers like Pelican or its competitors for my Mercedes but don't know of any for Lexus that sell quality parts. I'm a bit lost of what brands are good as well. I just know that the LS400's suspension bits are considerably more expensive than what I'm used to on Mercedes or similar or older vintage.

Any ideas?

I've dealt with that issue as I've had a LS, ES, and now a RX.
Go to Rock Auto. You can get a lot of parts there. For dealer items
go to one of the Lexus online parts suppliers (google) and pull up the parts diagrams they have to get the part numbers and then find what you can on e-bay.
If that fails get the part from the online parts supplier. If that fails, you're screwed and you go to the dealer. Most of the time you don't go to the dealer. There are many commonly shared parts with Toyota also. Same part numbers.
You may get lucky and find the item at a Pick N Pull near you. Off of a Toyota as well.
Good luck with your LS. It's a fine car! Join the Club lexus forum for good info on repairs.

You can't go wrong with Rock@auto or P@rtsG33k —I used the latter one for my old 1991 LS400.
