Did past Government shutdowns effect Social Security Payments?

I am poised to collect my first Social Security retirement check at the end of February. Since the Government is now shut down I am wondering if I will get it on time.

On a more somber note 4 out of 5 of the Boys I palled around with when I was a Kid did not make it to collect Social Security and died with in the last 15 years.
Who would have thought that my Father who is coming up on his 92nd birthday would out live Kids that I grew up with.
