Wow. That is messed up. Pretty good testament to how these planes are built that it can fly and land with damage like that.

Its hard to understand how hail created the caved in nose with what appears to be dirt embedded in it....?

I think that may be shadowing or the color of the base material. These pics are a little better and it does not look like dirt.

Just found this pic. You might be right. Any ideas from other folks. Dirt does not make sense but that is what it kind of looks like in this pic.

yeah something doesn't seem to add up here. None of the other forward faces are damaged ?aside from the cockpit window). The damage literally stops where the nose cone panel does -- could be argued that the flexing of the material stresses and cracks the paint but...weird.
