I been here 20 yrs ! Where is my badge!?
Lol. I can’t believe it has been 20 years since I bought my brown 84 300d and joined this site. I was using a new E machine (are they still in biz) and aol dial up! Lol. It worked pretty good on the site since it was mostly text. But god it took eternity to upload a pic. Haha
That brown 300d ended up with diesel don before he went TDI on us....last I talked to him a few years back it was wrecked in his barn. Said it was the strongest one he had out of 6 or 7. Now. Rolling this e430 and love it. I still want another diesel tho. I wanna try like a late 70s 300d non turbo. Maybe a euro model. But That’s like trying to find hens teeth. I have enjoyed it here even though I don’t participate a whole Lot! Maybe I’ll post here again when I’m at 999 posts Cmon a decal maybe ? We need peachparts decals or something y’all have a great week

I joined the first time in January 2000 and got valuable information from Donnie within about 30 minutes. It was a heck of a forum in those days. I wish it could have kept is magic.
I personally did almost a million miles total in MB diesels. If I include the ones my wife and kids drove it approaches one and a half million miles. A few of them are left on the place and need to be hauled away and used for parts. The only Benz I have on the road now is my prized 2001 SLK320 six speed manual. I bought it in pristine garaged condition with 39k miles three years ago.i am enjoying it instead of running into the ground since I’m retired now and don’t drive nearly as much as I did then. You’re right though, you are owed a high mileage badge like MB issues. Last edited by Air&Road; 11-17-2019 at 09:35 PM. |

Congratulations to both of you. I only joined in 2005 but I have done a lot of posting in my time.

It’s in the mail, along with your check!
June 2000 for me. But I never posted much, only 2500 in 19 years. Was anyone on the Mercedes mailing list prior to the forum? How about rec.autos newsgroup. Geez I’ve gotten old. Current MB is a 2019 Sprinter based motor home. So far retirement beats working! |

I first arrived here in 2000, looking for information on w126 sedans. The good old days.

Whoa, been a while. I started here as "w126man", January 2001.
I still joke around with Bot on Facebook one in a while. Met him yrs ago along with a handful of other members. Aklim, Jonathon (AMG guru), Narwhal, and a some others I can't recall anymore. Last I owned a Benz was 2007, which was my '03 S600. Sold it to a Russian limo driver. Been toying with the idea of a used S65, but oh boy... ![]() PS: Is Kuan still around. He lives not too far from and have met a few times.

When we were the other name we actually had a neat looking little decal.
Wonder what ever happened to Bill Wood.

I still have a Mercedes shop windshield sticker somewhere. I need to put it on the SLK. It looks like the wrench at the upper left corner of this forum page except it says Mercedesshop as it should.
Yes, I hope Bill Wood and Donnie Drummond are doing well. They built the forum into the greatness that it was. |
