Commercial vs REsidential ranges
Hi,
I need a new or good used 36" stainless steel range for my rental in Michigan City. The one that is in there (and not working well) looks like a commercial range but has electronic ignition.
So I am looking at ranges. It seems 36" commercial ranges are very available but the sellers are sticklers about saying they are not for residential use. I am wondering what the difference is and if the commercial range would actually be dangerous. One of the sales people said they would be a fire hazard sitting next to wooden cabinets, and suggested the insurance company would not cover damages from one used in a residence?
Any range experts out there?
