I watched a bit of one of the Nascar race the other day. It was just as much fun for me without any fans in the stands. I am pretty sure the racers ran just as hard without them too.

FWIW, Nascar was having trouble getting fans in the stands before the pandemic....

They have a boomer centric business model and boomers are dying out. Same with harley and all the other boomer brands. 50+ years of fecklessness, gluttony and obesity is taking it's toll. These brands failed to adapt and they're slowly headed for the trash heap of history. They only have themselves to blame.

Harley core customers are boomers - I do not think that is necessarily a derogatory statement (not using the same way tjts is). HD has been struggling for some time now, dropping sales and profit. I can't say I am surprised personally.
