I can't believe how many DG stores there are. There is even one in our tiny town here. They are better than the average dollar store if you have to go there-kind of like a big 7-11.

This. You don't want to get caught up in an armed robbery. Things happen VERY quickly and even if you have a gun you might not be fast enough nor have the necessary shooting skills to do any good IN A PANIC SITUATION. As for myself, I'll stay clear of these robbery magnet stores.

Post Dollar General Stores

Not surprisingly husky man fixated on the least likely to affect you aspect of Dollar General and totally ignored that they have almost zero merchandise for one dollar and that this chain mostly places stores in ghetto locations where all stores have higher than average chances of being robbed .

Way to go husky man ~ nothing useful nor helpful here, just you crying !WOLF! because you're so scared of life .

I hate those dollar places. Nothing is even close to a dollar. Always a line to the back and everyone uses their ebt card which never seems to have enough money on it. Ghetto.

Post Dollar Stores

Yes, largely Ghetto but still able to find good deals for one dollar at the Dollar Tree and .99 CENTS Store .

The others never were any good .

Don't be afraid of the Ghetto, mostly it's average Americans living there and tying to raise up families .

Just a few make it hard for everyone .

Life pro tip: If you can walk to a DG, you live in the ghetto.

There is one in Amenia, New York which is one town over from my home in Connecticut,
It is down the street from a restaurant named Monte's which is owned by Donald Trump's brother Robert.

The 99¢ & Dollar Tree stores 'round here are all located in 'friendly & safe' locations.

Been here several years and none I am aware of. Much less evidence of drug activity than the N. Cal town I came from. This is a small Coastal tourist town not a hood.
