In Ohio, I like State Route 555. It's in the Appalachian foothills of southeast Ohio. It's as close as we're going to get in this state to the Tail of the Dragon down in Carolina. Lots and lots of hill crests and tight turns for many miles, but you gotta be careful because in this very rural area there might be chickens, dogs, deer, or whatever in the road! Drove it with my 2006 C230 with sport package, 6-speed manual, and Pilot SuperSport tires. I miss having a fun, sporty car.

When did MB stop making manual transmission cars?

BMW only makes one non M model in a manual now.

Apparently, according to Wikipedia, you can get an SLK with 6-speed manual in their little peppy 4 cylinder turbo up to 2015. Soon they're not even going to make the SLK anymore!

Winter is right around the corner!

Who is planning some Winter adventure drives? Or are you just doing necessary maintenance before storing for your car for the cold months?

Post Beating It Down The Path

In an hour or so I and a friend are going to take a 'social distancing drive' , he in his RHD 1967 MGB GT that's all fixed up, me in my 1982 240D slushbox, I hope I can keep up .

I have no idea where we'll be going .

Sadly no one else wanted to come along .
