Refirb cell phones.
I have a friend at work who bought a cell phone from a site called "Back Market". No issues with the purchase or the phine after a year. Jut would like to check out the competition. Wondering if anyone has any other sources for refirb cell phones. I'd like a newish one but not going to pay full retail for a new one.

I’ve had good luck buying newish phones for my kids off swappa. They kind of have some safety measures like eBay does so you don’t get ripped off.

I buy iPhones off Swappa. I buy older generations. The one I have now (I think) is a iPhone 7. It works fine for me. Hell, my iMac is a 2014. Since I’m retired I no longer need to keep up with tech at work so I don’t keep up at all! I just want cheap and effective. I get that from Swappa.

I buy refurbished phones off of newegg.com. 3 times now - never had a problem.
Newegg is a pretty wide open market, so you need to read carefully (especially about carriers and compatability...) but I'm happy with the process so far. Keep in mind - any refurb phone may or may not come with a new battery. modern Li-Po batteries start losing capacity after a few years, so buying an older phone may not get you newer-better battery life. (I charge mine every night, so it doesnt bother me, but I do know that I cant go more than I day unless I take steps to save my battery.... -John Grube

I’ve bought a few refurbished boost mobile iPhones never had an issue. As long as they change the battery and put a new screen on it

Back Market offers a 12 month warranty on it's phones and say the battery hold at least 80% of it original power.
I always charge my phone at night as well and don't use it that much. After a full day my 2.5 yr old phone is at 48%.

I bought an iPhone XR from Supplytronics.com in Oct 2019 for $330. It was originally about $1000 some two years earlier. They said it was refurbished, had a battery that would hold at least 80% of original capacity (or it would have a new battery) but that it would not have facial identity. That made me worry that it was not a real iPhone.
But some 15 months later I have never had a problem with it. The battery rates at 90% of original capacity and has not been a problem. I think the iPhone has a better build quality than android phones - just my opinion. And any time I have had a problem with it I just call the Apple Genius (Apple store in Atlanta) and talk to a real person - who so far has ALWAYS solved my problem - like how to make the screen brighter. Try that with Samsung. |

Just realized that I bought an iPhone6 from BackMarket a few years ago. Refurb. It was good too so I can also recommend BackMarket.
