Gofundme for Marrakesh the cat. Marrakesh is a stray kitty who lives in John’s backyard. She needs to be examined by a vet. Her paw is swollen. She is limping, her paw is balled up, and she appears to be in pain.. We don’t know if her paw is broken. She was taken to the animal shelter but didn’t get any medical attentio. She is microchipped and her owner was found but they don’t want her back so John took her home. Yes, she is spayed. Please help us get her the care she needs.

Marrakesh was seen yesterday by the vet.
She was very calm and behaved herself. The vet took X rays of her front legs. Her right paw has a dislocated pinky toe. It cannot be reset into the joint and will need to be surgically removed. She will be able to resume normal activities once she has healed up.
She is going to be crated for at least the next month. We are using a large dog crate.
She was given meds for fleas, mites, etc, got a feline leukemia test (negative) and was vaccinated. If you look at the right paw and the pinky toe you can see the dislocation.

The gofundme donations were used up and we will continue to ask for more donations. Surgery is expected to be between $1000 and $1500.
