Some of it is a bit much. However, I have seen it happen, where one person in the relationship just had a bad attitude that would not stop.

From about '07 to '12 I did maintenance for a widow who owned four rentals, plus the house she had inherited from her late husband. He had been a general contractor and did a lot of work on all the units, and died at sge 55.

But the longer I worked for her, the more I saw that she was about half nuts and had a way of using people. One of her buildings, a five unit apartment building on a hill with a view in Berkeley was co-owned by one of her friends, also a career airline stewardess. She told me that many of their friends considered that Manny (Manuela) had put him in his grave.

She told me one time almost in fond memory, "oh my gosh, me and Steve used to fight." And I was thinking of some of the tirades she had gone off on me over bullsiht, and I concluded that I needed to start moving away from her. I quit working for her not long after.

I once saw a family photo series taken by a professional photographer. And in every one, Manny had this big, overlysweet smile and Steve looked quietly freaked out.

They were an interesting pair culturally. He was half US gringo, half Mexican. She was 100% Latina - Mexico extraction.

I prefer my women with less religion.

I'm not surprised that Marto the magnificent went to "misogyny." Of course it is well known that Hillary and Kamala were not elected because of misogyny. What else could explain it?

It's tricky territory. I absolutely applaud women becoming self realized, being valued for the work they contribute to the world. My primary care physician is a woman from Ecuador. She's the best I've ever had. My oncologist who helped save my life is a woman from India, just outstanding.

But it's interesting. A lot of men lose their power in trying too hard to cater to women. And you can read about women not liking it. A bumper sticker, it was a response to that asinine bumper sticker "so many women, so little time," went "so many boys, so few men."

And I've seen that, men who are too much into "yes dear" tend to lose the aspects of machismo that turn women on.

I've read studies that have it that these days men are significantly less well adjusted than women. That loneliness among men is more pronounced than among women.

Also other articles that describe a general decline in social facility among both genders. I'm sure it's complicated. I bring this up because I recall during the 70s, the early days of feminism, it seems that men were routinely trashed for being bastards. And men can behave horribly, this is well known. But I've seen women do horrible things to people. Men have no monopoly on cruelty.

You may have heard of such things. People discussing social issues. Trust me on this, do a web search on the topic, you'll get a lot of hits.

A lot of men these days, especially white men, fall all over themselves to apologize as profusely as possible. One thing is certain, they are very sorry, really really sorry.

The data that you elevate and promote was gathered by somebody, how can you be certain they didn't have an agenda they were pushing?

That link is dead. I copied and pasted the title, I read the story. Who would've thought? The web is home to all sorts of cranks and angry losers. Let the buyer beware always applies. It's a principal I am well aware of, thank you so much.

Do you remember BMW boy, the self infatuated guy who killed all those women in Santa Barbara? After that story came out I started getting wind the so-called men's rights movement. I checked out some of the posts on those boards being made in praise of Elliot Rodger, "the distinguished gentleman" who did the shooting. The gist of their messages was "if you ladies would give up the p**** more often, stuff like this wouldn't happen."

Roof and Rodger gave indication of being poorly parented misanthropic misfits.

Some of the stories I've seen about the so-called loneliness epidemic among men were not useful. Others were interesting. But you do what you do, identify misogynists and bigots and pass your judgment.
