Was at car show at Hickory Corners, MI today and guy pulls up in a 1936 540k
Big car time today while attending the German car show/Octoberfest at the Gilmore Auto Museum. Dude showed up in a beautifully restored '36 540k. It looked great and sounded as good as it looked. He had had a hardback book put together that provided all of the provenance of the car including a pic of it in a car show from 1936 in it looked like Germany. He had the Classic Center do the work on it.
I asked him how it drove out at 80 mph on the interstate and he said it drives out real good. I have pics for you that ask but forgot how to add them to the site about 5 years ago. The w210 was well represented with an E55 along with a w123 300TD that looked like the rear struts needed addressing. I brought the only GLK350 ![]()

The tag on the front of this one is 1A-0109 and the wheels on it are wire wheels but are black with a large chrome hubcap looking cover.
