Perched on the sides of the custom aluminium manifolds is a pair of side-draft Weber carbs sending fuel to a siamesed pair of Eaton blowers that produce 16 pounds of boost and ( collectively) 880 horsepower at 6000 rpm!
What is wrong with that statement?

Why?

If the owner had that kind of money at his/her disposal, why not just do a pristine restoration?

Maybe someone just as tasteless would consider purchasing it...

...as a custom effort, it's actually pretty nice, but then let's wait for this guy to do a custom Bentley wth a flamed paint job!

This goes to show that good taste is just like happiness. No amount of money can buy either one.

First of all, two superchargers? I suppose there's probably a way to mount two blowers if you're creative enough.

Second, I would think one supercharger would be enough to generate 16 lbs of boost no?

Third, I think feeding fuel into a supercharger is a bad thing.

Fourth, 880 hp from 330 cubic inches, or 5.4 liters, is more than double that of an AMG55, sure... it's possible.

You need 550 cfm to make a normally aspirated engine that size run at 6000 rpm....

Things that make you go hmmm...

Kuan,

A supercharger or "blower" doesn't work like a turbo...The fuel does go thru the supercharger, "force-feeding" fuel and air into the engine. He's used a special low-profile twin-blower setup that I've seen before on hot rodded American engines...It prevents you from having to cut a big hole in the hood for the blower and carb(s). Helps to keep it hidden, and keep the cops and car thieves and enviro-nazis off your back. It CAN produce HUGE amounts of horsepower in a smaller-displacement engine, if tuned properly. But you'd better have the low-end of the engine built solid enough to handle it or it won't last long! I've also never seen a 330 cu. in. Chevy...maybe it's been "de-stroked" from a 350, or maybe an over-bored 305? I dunno.

Actually, my other "car loyalties" lie with old Chevys, so even though it's unfortunate that it's been done to a very rare and historic MB, I still kind of like it! Sorry, guys....I know you're all screaming "traitor" right now! hahaha...

I think the interior is well done, except for the TV screen and digital guages. *yuck* I'm usually not a fan of de-chroming either. The more chrome the better!
