Cadillac unveiled the Cadillac 16 an ultra luxury car V16 with 1,000 horse power.
This is a concept car which Cadillac hopes will become an ultra luxury car competing
with Daimler - Chrysler Maybach.
Cadillac is also coming out with XLR, a sporty roadster, in the spring a V8- 4.6 Liter- 315 Hp- $ 70, 000.
This will match the MB SL500.

To pull the weight of a car that huge and bloated! You know if Cadillac builds such a "superluxury" car, it will weigh 10,000 lbs.!

I can visualize that a small group of wealthy people will actually buy the $300,000-350,000 Maybach...But what sane person would actually buy a $300,000-ish Cadillac??!!??!!

Im pretty sure the heaviest Cadillac of the past decade or so (probably the fleetwood) would not weigh nearly as much as even a 6 cyl w140.

(By no means am I saying lighter is better)

I think the Cadillac 16 is the best looking of the new luxury-concepts, and the only good looking new Cadillac. Its too bad that when it comes down to it, its still just a Cadillac and will probably be built accordingly.
