SAAB vice Mercedes?

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/snow7ice/BENZ.html
Man run over in Diesel wants revenge SAAB vs MERCEDES?
What are the merits of the SAAB 9000 vice Mercedes, 1990 years?
Today I was run off the road in my 240D with my family in it by a smart ass kid driving an Audi. I literally had to pull bushes out of my Grille.
I always had the idea of putting a Turbo V8 in my 240D.
Believe me I love my Mercedes Diesels but I am tired of getting my A__ kicked by smart a__ kids driving their parents Maxima's and Acuras and Accords and trying to run me off the road.
I will always stand by my 240D loyally.
But I want Payback. I'm still young. I'm tired of someone with a $30,000 car flexing his or her wallet.

I cant find a Mercedes sports car like the 240D. Many people are pointing me to the SAAB 9000 as a car that can bought for less than 2 grand and can be modified , and still look dignified like a Mercedes. I would like to overhaul the engine and boost it to 270 HP.
The next time some kid does this to me, i am going to chase him to his rich Dads house and drain his oil.

The Saab 9000, to put it lightly, can be extremely unreliable.

If you're looking for quick reliable and fairly inexpensive turbo power, I'd suggest an 1985-92 Volvo 740 Turbo or Volvo 760 Turbo.

The Mercedes 300E also comes to mind as a sedan in that class, but you'll get 270 hp out of a Volvo turbo four-cylinder for far less than it'd cost you to get the same amount out of a 300E's Six.

It's like the turtle vs. the hair. Just wait it out. Eventually the Sabb is BOUND to break down. Imagine the grin on your face as slowly clatter by, accelerating at just the right moment to leave a huge black cloud around the kid's [dad's] car on the side of the road.

simple answer to this, is to not let them run you off the road. if you are in your lane, and they pull into it and hit you, guess what it's their fault.

I for one don't let anything push me off the road, unless its a truck that is way bigger than me.

I simply use the well known mercedes horn sound to alert the drivers and stand my ground.

I've had people come within inches of me, then realized I was there and they moved back over.

I don't not let people in front of me if they are trying to get over, but I don't let other drivers push me around on the road... If they want to drive poorly and not pay attention and hit me, then they can pay for any damage they do, and pay they will.

I've told this story a million times before, but one of the cars I learned to drive on was my Dad's '86 Saab 9000 Turbo. He kept it up until 1993 with about 100k miles. NEVER had a problem with it, except for regular maintenance. The only car that has cost him less in 100k miles, is his Subaru Legacy Wagon.
Sounds like you folks got lucky with one, just like my parents did with their '83 900S.

I learned to drive a stick on that, and I was quite ham-fisted for a while. It's a stroke of luck that the fragile 5-speed manual transmission didn't give up (the car had 160K miles when I started driving it, on the original tranny, and they've been known to go at a lot less!)

All that car needed was water pumps and some electrical stuff (heater controls, etc) from 70K to 170K.
