No, I didn't realize that was more Carlin material...But that doesn't make it any more relevant or correct. Everyone has a right to be wrong...even George. And I stand by my response to it.

Mike, it was wrong of me to think that any Carlin fan would have recognized that classic piece from George and I accept your "apology." Everyone, including you, Mike, has a right to be wrong and feel free to stand by whatever you want.

So can you PROVE me wrong, or are you just here to question my allegience to the Carlin fan club?

Mike

Unfortunate. I've been bragging to people about how insightful and right-on-target he is for saying it. I WOULD have taken credit if I were him. Oh, well...

WHOEVER wrote it is very insightful and right-on-target.

Regardless of who said it, it's still hits the nail of absurdity and lunacy right on the head.

I am a George Carlin fan. Not because I agree or disagree with everything he says, but because he's damned funny. George's comedy took quite a left turn post drug/booze abuse.

As a housing activist and hater of all things golf, I love his "Golf Courses for the Homeless" bit. Rich!

George is a long standing critic of pretty much every government the US or any other nation has ever had. He has done great bits on wondering why people go hungry, and great bits on personal responsibility. He seems to subsrcibe to his own philsophy, and not take on any "party" line. I like that.

Scott Longston had a great cache of Carlin's material. One day we were talking about people are they infernal need to carry a constant supply of water bottles with them. Scott mailed me a priceless bit Carlin did on just that subject.

George - isms:

If people climb Mt.Everest because it's hard to do, why do they go up the easy side?

When you step on the brakes, your life is in your foot's hands.

I've never been quarantined, but the more I look around, the more I think it might not be a bad idea.

Everything beeps now.

By and large, language is a tool for concealing the truth.

How can it be a spy satellite if they announce on television that it's a spy satellite?

You know what's fun? To go to a German restaurant and insist on using chopsticks.

If it requires a uniform it's a worthless enterprise.

No one who has had 'Taps' played for them has ever been able to hear it.

Why do they say, 'women's tennis,' but 'ladies' golf'?

You know the good part about all those executions in Texas? Fewer Texans.

haahhh!!!

PS - MCI still doesn't get it. Mike was standing on the side of logic and facts regardless of who said it. Also, I don't remember seeing an "apology" for WHAT I might ask MCI??

I think he's FRENCH lololol.!!!
Tank, what didn't I get? Mike started the thread with an alleged George Carlin quote, which turned out not to be from Carlin. I added authentic George Carlin material which Mike mistook for an MTI rant. You're right Tank, I guess I don't get it and I'm still waiting for you to come bomb Hawaii.

I think some people have forgotten why we are doing this.

Those are Americans in those buildings and in the United 767.
