300D Babe Magnet

How many of you have noticed that when you’re are driving a nice looking Benz most all women will smile at you when you look at them. It doesn’t seem to matter if they are old or young. If I drive my old Dodge truck they look at me like “go away you pervert or I will call 911” That never happens in the Benz. I have even come to 4 way stops after them and they let me go first.
Near as I can figure it is the gold digger gene that kicks in without them knowing it.
Just wondering how many others noticed similar things.

hhmmm im not sure but my 300CD certainly isn't one. It's the driver I guess... I am just not good nuf for 'em

damn women...

every now and then one or two would smile or give compliments.. but most of them would rather see those 3-series.

when I was driving my friend's E46 BMW I noticed more smiles though!

I never had so much babe attention as when I drove the dealer's Smart convertible courtesy car. Blokes hated the car, but women loved it. You know, maybe I should trade the 129 for one of those things...

I don't think it's so much the "gold-digger" gene (considering the vast amount of MBs that cruise around my area), as that perhaps you give the impression of a "safe" (non-intimidating) individual.

Since I am rarely in the SL (and when I am, the wife is with me), I doubt that I am attractive to any women simply because I am sitting in my W124. I probably "look" like a Dad...:p

Not a single look. Not a one. Girls in this area just dont seem to go for a 20yr old Benz, even if it is immaculent and shiny.

Maybe I should put the puppy in there...

I shouldn't respond to this thread....

Women smile at me:

1. When I'm driving the TE, especially if my Golden Retriever is in the cargo area behind the barrier, my road bike is on the rack on the roof (hasn't been in 2 months) and my daughter is in the back seat. Nothing sexier than a devoted father in a safe car, I guess.

2. When I'm sitting in the passenger's seat of my lady's E430. Nothing sexier than a guy who doesn't mind being the passenger of a female driver, one would suppose. I don't mind one iota...the driver is sexier than I am.

3. When I'm climbing into or out of any car (actually I think they're laughing). I had ACL replacement surgery a few weeks ago and the brace on my left leg runs from my ankle to my crotch and contains two steel rods. I just discarded the crutches, but I still drag my leg around. I sound like Robocop walking. It's pretty funny to see me getting into or out of any car.

Women ignore me:

When I'm in the 5-Series BMW. It's Schwarz II (black), the windows are tinted and it looks like I'm trying to be fast and cool. Hmmmm.

Everyone smiles at me (and dogs bark happily):

When I'm in my '02. Maybe that's because I'm usually grinning from ear to ear while driving it around. What a happy car. Now if the Weber would only behave...

Sorry - this is the Benz forum...

this even works for us old codgers, wax the MB,open the sun roof so that a good old sixties song emits, dress in your finest western duds(you may have to move out West) then lean on the front fender with your two month old Rat Terrior puppy on a leash, any parking lot will do.............
