Alaska or bust...

Well, it's nearly here. Tomorrow morning, bright and early, the "caravan" of C230's (ours and Dads) sets off for the Yukon and Alaska.

We're going to take it easy and enjoy ourselves, contrary to the other trips I've made up the Alaska Highway. Camping, hiking, and just general fun. Then, next weekend in Whitehorse is our 20th high school reunion, whch is promising to be a terrific event. Most of the class moved away to persue their lives in other lands, and a startling number are making the journey back.

After Whitehorse, we're off to Alaska for more fun, and then a solid week of exploring the highway southbound.

I plan on burning through cases of film, so I'll have lots of adventure pics and maybe even some "wilderness art" stuff.

Sounds like a great trip. Last time I was even close to Whitehorse (in the Whitehorse Pass) there was still something like 6 feet of snow on the ground, that was in May of '95. I'm starting our 3 week adventure in about 2 hours, soon as the Missus gets off work. I'll pick her up at her Station, and away we go.

If I get around a computer I'll drop in and see whats hapnin.

Good luck and have fun on your trip!!

One of my housemates just got back from climbing Mt. Ranier. Of the 27 who made the attempt, six gave up at different stages of the climb.

I'm hoping to make the climb with him next year if he goes again.
