39. 88 or so sub 3/4 ton 454/ turbo 400. took in trade for 92. wish i hadnt done that. ended up rebuilding the motor and selling over a year later for what i had in just the motor. yuck.

59. 84 280e euro five speed , ex ralley car no air cruise radio sunroof or power anything except brakes and steering. fun fast car. sold when son began driving and bought back 12 years later. have it running again after freshening the motor and clutch. using for autocross.

65. 84 500sec. 134k second owner. very nice car. paint scuffed here and there but runs like a bear and has been my cheapest benz to maintain.
66. (out of order) 82 240d. brought from virginia. rust free, had lots of blow by and eventually had to do motor after lovely daughter #2 bought it from me and drove it for four months with out ever checking oil and ran it low then blew it up. got it pretty sharp and sold to "bottomfeeder" from sf about a year ago.
67. 83 240d rust free texas car. bought with blown motor to build ultimate 240d.....bought
68. 83 300d euro stick. rebuilt motor and installed it in car above... parted the rusty hulk out. it had abs. hated to let that go but it was way too intimidating to think of removing. still have the excellent euro tex interior with lumbar adjustment.
69. 05 magnum awd. silver. reminds me of the old euro benzes from the eighties. very simple inside.
70. i have the 84 280e euro again so technically it is a repeat.
71. 350sdl. bought with blown head gasket. decent but not perfect body, excellent interior, tranny, loved driving it but got tired of fixing the engine so sold it to brian carlton. drove for 'bout two years.
72. 53 studie lowey coupe. bought to make studilac rodster but it was damp in my garage and the interior got moldy so i moved it along.
73. 64 studie cruiser. 289 2b. 34k mile car. it came from my uncle glen's estate via my sister. it was uncle glen's last studie. he worked in the factory til it closed. (along with my dad and granddad). really nice original car. fixed it up and drove for a couple of years. my kids mainly driving it i became nervous at all the hard metal inside in case of a crash.
74. 68 220d stick. bought for 200 just because. kept it for a little while and traded it to my trash hauling lady for trash pickup for a few months.
75. 64 continental. bought with a blown motor from the SIL of the judge in greencastle who took my drivers license away in 1965. replaced the motor, then removed and rebuilt it. (lincoln pistons are expensive!), then traded it for painting labor on the high stairwell in my first office building.

on my to buy list: crossfire, bmw z coupe, honda 2000, honda nsx, lotus 7 clone.

remember: they are a lot easier to buy than sell.

Do we have a winner yet? I'm thinking it may be Tom W. Man-O-man, Tom. You've had a lot of cars. Of course, to be fair, I guess we'd have to factor age in somehow. Some of you guys haven't had as much time to buy and sell cars as others of us.

Impressive list, Tom.
