(makes up for the missing Kawi somewhat. I owned the Beemer before I met my wife, owned both of the 750's for quite awhile. The Beemer does everything well, so I definitely sold the right one, but that Kawi was really a blast to drive at times)(all 3 of the bikes I've owned are 3 cylinder models, never owned anything else)

that 67 chrysler 300 of yours sounds like nice one too. I always wanted a 300. I came within a whisker of buying a 61 300G hdt with the great 413 wedge engine. I used to be real soft in the head for Chrysler products.
The one I really pine for is the 56 300SL gullwing I almost bought for $6000.00 back in 1976. I just did'nt have quite enough money at the time.

1972 Mini Clubman GT (1977 to present day).
Looks similar to British 1275 GT but Oz versions (only manufactured 1971-72) got full Morris/Austin Cooper S mechanicals (80bhp, 1.3, nitrided crank, twin carbs, big valves, oil cooler, close ratio box, disc brakes, twin tanks, etc). My first car (my parents bought it new). I used to use it in motor sport on Sundays and drive it to work Mondays. I'll never sell this one (too rare now).

1972 Mini Clubman GT (about 1980 to 1982).
Yes, I had a second one for a while (matching colours). My friends said the two Minis looked like a pair of bookends.

1973 Mercedes-Benz 350SLC (1983 to present day).
My first MB although I used to drive my parent's '72 280SE-3.5 and my brother's '65 220S occasionally prior to this. This was my daily driver up until this year. Needs cosmetic work so I don't know whether to keep it or find a better one. I still love the W107s. A classic that drives like a modern car.

1983 Ford Laser (1989 to 1994).
A re-badged Mazda 323. My wife's car when we married. Economical but not much else.

1980 Mercedes-Benz 300TD (1994 to 1998).
Replacement for wife's Laser. A very tidy W123 wagon that took concours class wins. Practical but boring.

1992 Mercedes-Benz 180E (1998).
Oz low spec version of a 190E-1.8. Bought this to use as a daily driver because it had only 24,000km and a manual tranny. Good handling but lethargic. Sold it (to my father, brother now owns it) after a few months.

1990 Mercedes-Benz 300TE (1998 to present day).
Replacement for wife's 300TD. A regular concours class winner. A superb car in every respect. We love the W124 wagon and plan to keep it for a long time yet.

1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E-2.3 Sportline (2003 to present day).
My current daily driver. I couldn't resist this one for its original condition, rarity and 5-speed manual tranny. Most W201s here are 1.8 and 2 litre with autos. Sportline (very rare here) handling is great and I'm really enjoying this car.

Was the IH a full size bus, or was it Suburban-sized?

If it's the smaller of the two, I'm guessing that it was a Travelall. I came close to replacing my Scout with a '72 Travelall once, but figured that the fuel mileage would kill me :eek:

IH built some tough pickup trucks! I'm still p/o'ed that they stopped "light" truck production in 1980...my old Scout was built less than a month before they closed the plant. :(

It'd be interesting to see a factory-built IH 4x4 pickup truck with a 6.9l IDI like what I have in my Ford :D

It was Travellall style with three rows of bench seats, double side doors, and a raised roof. I do remember we bought the paint code colors for Greyhound and actually painted the thing like a bus - with the blue stripes that crossed over the roof line. Am thinking that it was owned by the railroad before me. Gas mileage was single digits.

1976 Chevy Monza - Engine failure at 200K sold to Junkyard
1976 Fiat Wagon - Got on a trade and sold then got it back when it was abandoned and sold again :)
1978 Pontiac Grand Prix - Sold
1978 Dodge 4x4 (stock 360) Wrecked
1982 Dodge Ramcharger (Stock 318 4spd) - Sold
1992 Ford Taurus - Wife's car when I met her, Engine blew up at 80K
1995 Jeep Cherokee - When 3 months old Drunk Driver hit at 10:00 am while parked - totalled it! 8,000 miles

OOPS forgot my most regrettable one. My uncle gave me, back in 1985 a 1971 220D. The car was mint with about 85,000 miles at the time. Anyway, I was strapped for cash and let it go for about 400.00. Theat really hurts now, considering all it heeded was a dent or two fixed. At the time, I didn;t appreciate what I had.:(

Loved the Subie. Get a 5 speed. Don't buy the maroon color, it peels and fades. I've got a great JS Sports stainless exhaust i'll sell you cheap if you buy one! ;)
