New Cars!
My dad went to Mercedes-Benz Laguna Niguel looking for a better deal than Fletcher Jones was offering.
Well, he turned in the 2001 CLK320 Cabrio (about 33k miles), my 95 C280 (155k miles), and my twin's 90 Jeep Cherokee with nearly 200k miles (ran to the ground). However saddened I am by the turn-in of my car, I am happy for a couple of new additions to the stable! The 2004 CLK500 Cabrio (w/ designo & CLK55 rims) is hot!! My mom was totally ecstatic to get a 500! Notable differences from the 01 CLK320 cabrio: 1. Much more rigid structure (less flex). 2. Handles bumps noticeably better. 3. V8 power is undeniably empowering! (w/ me @ the wheel anyway!) 4. The car looks HOT HOT HOT! (love the SLR inspired front) 5. designo (black) gives rare exterior metallic black, napa leather, wood shift knob & steering wheel, upgraded floor mats, & suede trimming (best feature); also has the CLK55 rims! The 2004 C230k Sports Sedan is a great looking sedan! Is has the 324 option pkg (Sunroon, Rain-Sensing Wipers, & Rear Sunshade). My dad is an easy man!

Good-Bye C280!
It was hard! So much of my soul went into this car! I know this is the place to vent a little bit... no one else understands! I got a bit teary-eyed. I couldn't get my illuminated door sills off though (grr)... got my sub & amp tho, and CD players. They are for Sale, FYI.
I had my mom take a last pic of me with my car... a chapter ended.

Yeah I know... the tables are turning. I guess I just out of the cycle / habit of being an active member! But with the new Benz's and the departure of mine, I had to post a thread on it! My twin and I are going to be moving to Mammoth Lakes next week for seasonal jobs... not to say I won't be visiting Mercedesshop, just a lil about what I'm doing these days! I hope to clear my head and what not while there (my dad is buying a condo, so we are stoked!)... away from parents, living on own, full-time job, new location (new people). So! I will be posting a long, thoughtful post soon on my C280... the life of! I realized yesterday, when packing up/storing all of my belongings for storage, and I really realized what a special experience I had with my car. It will be so good! ANd it will help me get my thoughts out and value what I had and what it meant to me. IE: the first is unforgettable. I will never feel again about a new Mercedes the way it was with my first car (C280) .

Nope, my dads car! He was getting my mom her car from MB Laguna Niguel to get a better deal... and got my mom her car, and just figured he would get a car too because he just drove whatever. So that's the car he got! Funny to think he bought a car worth nearly 3x more than his and he still had a Mercedes.
So no, it's my dads.

Nada! I drive my mom's CL500 when I need to... which is plenty satisfying! I won't be driving up in Mammoth so I won't really need a car. But when I get back... you bet I'll be on the prowl for another Mercedes of my own!
