If you had a former miscle silo.....
This is the 2nd opportunity I've seen for buying a retired missile silo on the cheap. If you bought it what would you do with it?

Some people convert them to homes, I saw a pretty cool one on extreme homes.

The other side could be working from old information and your new home could be targeted for direct first strike.

I'd restore it to original active missle silo condition, then put it on eBay.

I'd love to make a house out of one. That fit's the demented side of me perfectly.

How about a disposal site for outdated missles? Stick um in upside down, sod them over and make a golf course or a potato farm.

Stock it with food, guns and ammo and use it as a place to hide from the Zombies after the dawn of the dead.

There was a piece in the local home section a month or so ago about a couple that had converted a silo into a home in Nebraska. Pretty pricey, I thought. Initial purchase plus about $350k in renovations.
You'd really have to be subterranean to enjoy it. No natural light at all in the silo. There's quite a few abandoned silo's east and north of Denver. There's even an underground club in Denver that sneaks into them to explore. If Bush keeps up his foreign policies, their value to survivalists is sure to increase.

Perfect Winter Retreat. I'd convert it to solar power, and develop a natural heating system. Then Dwell magazine would come and do a profile of the weird guy with the diesel cars that lives in a silo. That or turn it into a museum about nuclear power and nuclear weapons and the cold war.
